Manifesto

What will happen to everything you are working on?

Movies are lamer, buildings are uglier, systems malfunction more. Also, the entire economic and geopolitical order is being renegotiated before our eyes by new technologies and political movements. Once-powerful governments and institutions, infected with outdated ideologies, struggle to cope; in order to preserve their privileges, they double down on failing strategies.

How long can the societies we once took for granted last?

In the coming shifts, some will seize unprecedented opportunities. Others will be left behind, sicker, destitute, and dependent on the favor of the powerful.

It will not be easy to become the sort of man who will build and flourish in the future. You will need to develop new skills, for the coming systems will be run by those able to craft their own narratives. You must know what you stand for, because the strongest networks will be founded on firm values. You must assemble intelligent, reliable friends, to energize you in an era when high agency is becoming the most important asset. You will need to master AI technologies in order not to be mastered by them.

The reward, for those who flourish, will not just be access to capital, talent, influence, and opportunity. It will be the recovery of excitement, and the freedom to shape destiny—for yourself and the people you care about. It will be the company of men of great insight and experience, who walked long before you, with clear eyes and confidence, into times no less disturbing than our own. It will be the more beautiful world you helped create, and will pass on as part of your legacy.

The Classical Society

is building a network of accomplished entrepreneurs and executives determined to take charge of fate through the pursuit of excellence. We offer small, peer group coaching, both in online environments and intensive in-person retreats, based on the classics of Western thought and practice. Our members also gain access to a unique training in the perennial arts of statesmanship: oratory, narrative formation, adversarial argument, moral and political philosophy.
